To understand how lash bonder works, you'll first need to know how adhesive curing works. Curing occurs when the fresh adhesive is exposed to the right amount of vapour in the air.
Previously, we've always advised our clients not to get their lashes wet or expose them to steam, i.e. sauna or gym, within the first 24 hours, as this would prematurely cure the adhesive. This may cause changes in the colour, texture, and bonding of the adhesive and ultimately lead to bad retention, as it takes the right amount of air vapour not to disrupt the adhesive curing process. Over-exposure to water will cause a shock cure effect and cause the issues mentioned above.
So, What is Lash Bonder?
Lash Bonding, is when the artist cures the lash extensions straight after the application. There are two ways of doing this:
Lash Extension Bonder is a liquid you apply to the client's lashes that instantly cures the adhesive, reduces sensitivity to fumes, maximises retention and allows your clients to get their lashes wet sooner!
The other is a nano mist spayer, that uses ultrasonic wave shock technology to convert water into a nanometer scale for deeper penetration and absorption—a nano mister controls the curing with tiny mist droplets.
In the salon, we use the lash bonder on all our clients. It's proven benefits with outstanding retention our clients keep returning with. So, if you're still telling your clients not to get their lashes wet, you should try out these bonding techniques.
